King Recognized by the American Conservative Union

Washington, DC- Congressman Steve King released the following statement after being awarded the ACU Conservative Award this week from The American Conservative Union. To be considered for the award, members must receive an 80 percent rating or higher on 25 votes scored by the ACU. King received a 92 rating for the first session of the 112th Congress in 2011 and carries a 96.44 rating overall.

"I want to thank the American Conservative Union for recognizing me with this award," said King. "This organization consistently proves why it is held in such high regard and their annual ratings are considered to be the "gold standard" for Conservatives in Congress.
