King Honors Vietnam Veteran Robert Hutchinson

Washington, DC- Congressman Steve King released the following statement today after presenting Sioux City resident and Vietnam Veteran Robert Hutchinson with medals obtained by King's office that he did not previously receive for his service. Hutchinson served in the Army for one year in Vietnam servicing helicopters in the 129th Assault Helicopter Company.

"I always enjoy medal ceremonies like today's because they are an important part of my Congressional duties," said King. "Robert Hutchinson served our country faithfully, and like all soldiers he deserves our sincerest respect and admiration. I was honored to present these medals to a worthy Veteran."

Hutchinson was awarded the following Medals:

National Defense Service Medal
Vietnam Service Medal w 1 Bronze Star Attachment
Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon w Device (1960)
Sharpshooter Badge
