King Receives "Spirit of Enterprise" Award from the U.S. Chamber

Washington, DC- Congressman Steve King released the following statement after receiving the "Spirit of Enterprise" Award today from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The U.S. Chamber has presented this award to Members of Congress who support both pro-business legislation and pro-growth policies for the past 25 years. Members who receive the award are selected based upon how they voted on business issues included in the Chamber's publication entitled "How They Voted." Members must support the Chamber's position on at least 70% of those selected votes to receive the award. Congressman King maintained a 92% rating for 2012 and has an average of 87% during his tenure in Congress.

Thomas J. Donohue, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber presents Congressman King with the "Spirit of Enterprise" Award today.

"Each day I serve in Congress, I look for opportunities to assist small business owners by encouraging the development of pro-growth policies," said King. "As a previous small business owner I understand the government needs to get out of the way so the entrepreneurial spirit can thrive. I thank the U.S. Chamber for this recognition today and look forward to working with them for many years to come."
